About

I was born in Quebec and grew up in Vancouver. I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Honours Computer Science, and subsequently worked as a computer programmer and analyst, technical writer, business analyst, and systems manager. I also worked briefly as math tutor, supply teacher, college instructor, firewood purveyor, farmers’ market vendor, and B&B proprietor. Eventually, I found a niche in creative writing. Happily, I have not generated a single line of code since!

I lived for many wonderful years on rural property in Prince George, where my husband and I raised a couple of country kids, kept the house or yard under frequent renovation, gardened, and shared our lives with a succession of cats, dogs, and horses.  A few years ago, we moved to an old sheep farm at tidewater on Vancouver Island, in the traditional territory of the T’Sou-ke people. Here, tales continue to fall off the end of my pen.

My work has been widely published in journals, primarily in Canada, and in a couple of anthologies. I am beyond excited to have my first collection of verse scheduled for release on the ides of October 2021.
